On November 17th, we finished reading Wonder, our first trimester read-aloud.  This was also the day of the movie's release in the theaters.  I hope throughout the trimester, your 5th grader has told you a bit about the book and about its main character August Pullman.  It is truly an inspiring story of acceptance of those who are different, developing character, and standing up for others.  I hope that our students can take to heart the true message of the story, "Always be kinder than is necessary," and "When given the choice between being right and being kind, choose kind."  😄
