This week we made limericks in English. A limerick has a rhyming pattern of aabba, and it is sometimes funny. This is a example '' There was a young girl named Kate; She was going on her very first date; He was the guy; They shared a pie; Then he was her soul mate."
We also made Christmas gifts for our parents, and it was really fun. In science we first tried to make a bouncy ball, but for most people it did not work. The next day we made slime because the bouncy ball did not work. This helped us to learn about chemical reactions when the borax and glue were mixed together, it changed to a new substance.
During math class we are doing a graph to see what is your favorite soda and what candy bar is your favorite. We had a fun week!

This week we had a math test. In math we are learning how to multiply fractions and then reduce them. In art class we finished our names and now we are starting to roll magazines for a giant sculpture. We are learning about physical and chemical changes in science class.
Our class presented the Advent Wreath Blessing prayer service on Monday, and we closed out the week with hosting the Mass for the Immaculate Conception of Mary. The students did a fabulous job.

This week was a very exciting week! We had our very first art class with our new art teacher, Mr. Clifford. We all enjoyed it! We had a math test and a quiz. All of us did our best. At mass the homily was about how St.. Andrew was a good follower of Jesus. The homily taught us how to be a good followers of Jesus. In science we learned more about the properties of matter. In gym we focused on a basketball unit. In social studies we learned about the old rulers and how to use the maps. In ELA we got our new Words Their Way spelling lists. In class we are also creating "Why I Was Late For School" hyperbole stories. They are super crazy, funny, and exciting! This week we also had the Penny Wars for Pennies for Patients. Every cent counted for kids in need! This week was very fun and busy!
